Welcome To KS2
The National Curriculum sets out what children in KS2 should be taught. There are 11 mandatory subjects:
- English
- Maths
- Science
- History
- Geography
- Ancient and modern foreign languages
- Art and design
- Music
- Design and technology
- Physical education (which must include swimming)
- Computing (often called information and communication technology or ICT)
Children have to be very secure in their core skills of reading, writing and maths. Our qualified tutors are able to encourage learning in these and all the subjects in the key stage 2 curriculum. They can also help with preparation for 11-Plus and SATs exams in year 6.
Our tutors will all have a good academic degree and experience of working with primary age children, in school or as a tutor. For entrance exam preparation we will make sure the tutor is familiar with the school and type of exams your child will face.
